Position Summary
The Analyst Loans Borrows and Surplus Sales will manage the Loan and Borrow and Surplus Sales program for JetBlue Airways. The Analyst Loans Borrows and Surplus Sales is responsible for managing JetBlue Airways' Loans and Borrows and Surplus Sales, ensuring that end-of-month financial statements are submitted in a timely manner, and monitoring the budget to prevent overages.
Essential Responsibilities
•    Administers the Loan and Borrow Program for JetBlue 
•    Fosters a close and communicative relationship with the finance department for accounts payable and receivable functions 
•    Maintains loan and borrow procedures within the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
•    Ensures loan and borrow procedures are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley
•    Works with material work groups to analyze inventory levels and identify components to sell to potential business partners for surplus sales
•    Develops processes and procedures for continual improvement pertaining to the Loans and Borrows and Surplus Sales program
•    Heads consignment program with external business partners, making sure sales are processed and inventory levels are accurate
•    Performs request for proposal (RFP), request for bid (RFB) and request for quotation (RFQ) in combination with the Strategic Sourcing team when required
•    Manages current agreements and contracts with business partners as well as identifies new opportunities in the industry
•    Monitors all open loan and exchange orders for all material work groups to make sure they are closed on a timely manner
•    Develops and generates key performance indicators (KPIs) and matrix reports
•    Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
•    High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma 
•    One (1) year of working experience in an aircraft maintenance or materials environment
•    Working knowledge of inventory management
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
•    Strong typing skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent analytical skills
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Flexibility, agility and change management skills
•    Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
•    Ability to work in a high-pressure team environment
•    Must have valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
•    Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
•    Must pass a pre-employment drug test
•    Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
•    Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree 
•    Working knowledge of airline maintenance programs
•    Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthy Directives, and Service Bulletins
•    Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
•    Purchasing background 
•    Strong financial background

•    Regular attendance and punctuality 
•    Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
•    Able to maintain a professional appearance
•    When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Policy and behavioral standards 
•    Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
•    The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

•    Computer and other office equipment
Work Environment:     
•    Traditional office environment
•    Possible travel required to component repair shops, the flight line, or the warehouse
•    The out of office working environment may present elevated noise levels and weather variations
•    Occasionally shift work is required
Physical Effort:  
•    Light physical effort is required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.  (Light) 
Compensation:  
•    The base pay range for this position is between $62,400.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
