Located at the Fort Lauderdale Inspiration Center (FLIC) in South Florida, the budding epi-center of the travel and hospitality industry, JetBlue Travel Products works hard to integrate personalization and technology into the airline and the broader travel journey for all JetBlue customers. 


The People Business Partner is part of the JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) People team reporting to the Head of People working closely with the JTP People Generalist. The People Business Partner supports all HR organizational design and strategy functions, talent acquisition, resource planning, talent and performance management process design and employee engagement. This role will heavily interface with all JTP team leaders and the JetBlue People team at all levels as a true advisor and business partner in the implementation of HR initiatives. An extremely motivated individual who challenges the HR status quo looking at continuous improvement in all HR practices. A highly collaborative individual who is data savvy and skilled in relevant office applications, most notably Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A thought partner with all JTP business units providing HR recommendations and solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously, works well under tight timelines, is confident in managing priorities and relationships balancing the needs of the organization.  This individual embodies personal values which match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.  


Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Participates in HR brainstorming, process mapping and requirements gathering sessions with all teams within JTP. 

  • Leads HR initiatives and ensures key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders.  

  • Clearly and concisely communicates key HR data to JTP leadership team and other stakeholders, as necessary.  

  • Researches, analyzes, and compiles data and records, and prepares reports, presentations, recommendations and other documentation pertaining to JTP HR initiatives. 

  • Tracks and monitors task progress and escalates business risks where appropriate. 

  • Deliver effective communication (written and verbal) to all levels including leadership. 

  • Support new hire onboarding and provide pre and post-employment day-to-day HR support. 

  • Sets clear priorities for JTP stakeholders effectively communicating deliverables ensuring team alignment balancing priorities. 

  • Partners with JetBlue People team to stay relevant with all People processes that impact JTP. 

  • Supports recruitment activities, including peak planning, and participating in outreach events, builds and maintains effective relationships with schools and community-based organizations. 

  • Flexibility in this role is key and you may be asked to flex time into HR functions and JTP administration from time to time. 

  • Other complex projects and duties as assigned. 


Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). 

  • Three (3) years’ of HR experience.  

  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Word and Visio. 

  • Experience in report generation and data analytics. 

  • Self-discipline to present to senior levels of the organization. 

  • Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary. 

  • Strong relationship management, negotiation and resolution skills. 

  • Excellent problem solving and structured critical thinking skills. 

  • Flexibility, agility and change management skills.  

  • Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.). 

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test. 

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.   


Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree. 

  • Two (2) years’ experience managing various HR projects. 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by Project Management Institute (PMI). 

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills including the ability to motivate others. 

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments. 

  • Ability to manage risk. 

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. 


Crewmember Expectations: 

  • Regular attendance and punctuality. 

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.  

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance. 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.  

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.
