Position Summary: 

The JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) Coordinator, Commercial Strategy & Business Development is entrepreneurial, analytical, and passionate about optimizing the business performance of our product offerings and partnerships. This Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing the business performance of JTP’s products and uncovering insights. The Coordinator will then use those insights to help develop initiatives to grow and improve our businesses. The ideal candidate will work closely with JTP teams (Technology, Finance, Marketing) and business partners to help design and launch these initiatives, ensuring that business objectives, customer targeting, product offerings, and marketing efforts are all coordinated to ensure the highest likelihood of success.  


In order to produce actionable insights informing the growth and development of JTP’s products, this role requires analytical/modeling skills and creative problem solving. This role also involves continuous coordination with business partners and as such, will require strong communication, organization and note-taking skills.  


The candidate of choice is comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up like environment, and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. This individual can work independently and cope with ambiguity - knowing leaders will always be there to provide support when there is a roadblock. 


About JetBlue Travel Products and our team 

JetBlue Travel Products (JTP), a JetBlue Airways subsidiary, manages the JetBlue Vacations and Paisly brand, travel insurance, cruises, car rentals and other non-air travel products. JTP is at the forefront of extending the JetBlue brand to other areas of travel beyond flight.  


The Commercial team leads strategy and partnerships for products such as travel insurance, car rental, tours & activities and mobility. Our team manages existing products and also launches new ones.  


Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate on analyzing quantitative and qualitative data related to our products using Microsoft Excel and Google Data Studio. 

  • Assist in developing strategic initiatives to grow and optimize our products - everything from marketing/promotional campaigns to UI/UX changes to improve the customer experience. 

  • Support creating financial models to forecast value and the impact of strategic initiatives. 

  • Assist in reporting of performance to both internal stakeholders and business partners. 

  • Work with our Data and Finance teams to develop dashboards to track KPIs for JTP products. 

  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to ensure new offers and enhancements are communicated effectively to customers. 

  • Work with our Technology team to plan and prioritize development work for new products and enhancements to existing ones.  

  • Engage in and lead regular meetings with business partners to report on products and track initiatives. 

  • Benchmark our products with similar products in the market and document differences, areas for improvement, etc. 

  • Support commercial negotiations with prospective business partners. 

  • Ensure existing contracts with business partners are executed correctly. 

  • Review partner reporting and invoicing to ensure accuracy and consistency. 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma. 

  • One (1) year financial / quantitative analysis, business development, and/or strategy experience. 

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite & Google Products. 

  • Experience with business analytics / technical tools (i.e., Excel, Spreadsheets, Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio, etc.). 

  • Available for up to 10% overnight travel between centers in Salt Lake City, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. 

  • Self-motivated and flexible to a constantly changing environment. 

  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity. 

  • Excellent verbal (phone) and written communication skills; with the ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels within the company. 

  • Exceptional project and time management skills. 

  • Effective research skills including the ability to analyze information and make determinations in accordance with company guidelines. 

  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test. 

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.  

Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) or four (4) years of relevant job experience  

  • One (1) year managing cross functional projects or initiatives (cross functional teamwork). 

  • Knowledge of ecommerce & online travel industry. 

  • Outstanding analytical skills, including building complex models that integrate inputs from multiple data sources to enable robust scenario planning. 

  • Exposure to and knowledge of P&L management. 

 Crewmember Expectations:  

  • Regular attendance and punctuality. 

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice. 

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance. 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
