Position Summary

The Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for carrying out assigned duties using JetBlue guidelines and processes.

 

The Coordinator provides support to the station’s maintenance leadership team.

The Maintenance Coordinator is highly organized, attentive to detail and can work under minimal supervision in a highly time pressured environment.

 

The position duties are performed during the PM hours.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Creates and updates the department’s maintenance records system
  • Prints out work packages and compares them with the work scope, making the necessary adjustments in TRAX
  • Keeps up with the AC swaps after the work scope is issued to remove or add work packages as the night progresses
  • Delivers the work packages to the Lead on duty
  • Reviews and confirms that the required parts are available
  • Reviews completed work packages ensuring their accuracy and making the necessary adjustments in M+E system (TRAX)
  • Delivers the work packages to the Records Team
  • Assists with escorting duties at the station
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of customer service, administrative support or office support experience.
  • Experienced in Microsoft products and reporting metrics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing information quickly
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of team.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must past a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the USA
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in Aviation

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards)
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including confidential reporting system (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)
