Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Content & Technology reports to the Manager Product Development and is responsible for managing and enhancing JetBlue’s long-term inflight technology offerings, including our inflight entertainment (IFE), content strategy, connectivity solutions, and inflight digital product roadmaps. The IFE product includes the seatback TV platforms, a curated JetBlue channel, map/trip information, DIRECTV, stored on-demand content, and our inflight Wi-Fi product: Fly-Fi. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing, project managing and executing plans for onboard technology products and liaising directly with IT, Operations, Inflight, Commercial and external business partners.
The Senior Analyst is a key member of the Commercial team that is dedicated to developing the next generation of JetBlue’s inflight technology and maintaining and optimizing the existing product, always looking for opportunities that bring real and measurable value to the JetBlue customer experience. The Senior Analyst should be a visionary in the consumer technology and/or IFE space, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work collaboratively across company teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute on JetBlue’s inflight content strategy, programming all TV, Movie, and audio content offerings for JetBlue’s diverse 43 million annual Customers
- Work with the Hollywood studios and independent distributors to negotiate favorable licensing deals that drive value and save cost
- Constantly stay on the pulse of the streaming service space, with a firm understanding of the content offerings from each service, existing brand partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and rollout of new feature enhancements
- Own and manage the Editorial Guidelines for onboard content, liaising with senior leadership monthly to vet titles in question
- Lead the development of next generation inflight technology products and features by collaborating with internal stakeholders to build consensus on priorities leading to execution
- Utilize first-party reporting dashboards to make insight-driven decisions across content selections, UX/UI improvements, and future enhancements
- Manage strategic partnerships with content providers and consumer technology companies that enhance the value proposition of our customer-facing inflight technology offerings
- Own and manage the Fly-Fi and IFE product roadmaps, including software updates & content releases, to ensure milestones is on time and on budget
- Draft and signoff on requirements design and user acceptance testing to ensure all requirements outlined are met and deployed successfully to the fleet
- Convey, and occasionally create, system concepts to internal and external business partners, including information pertaining to competitive research, usability and user interface design (UX/UI)
- Analyze and leverage user data across the Fly-Fi and IFE systems to drive improvements & efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
- Three (3) years of media, technology, and/or project management experience
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, project and other analytical/quantitative tools
- Able to work flexible work hours
- Ability to problem solve and be solution-oriented in a time-constrained environment
- Ability to think big, yet be able to plot out and manage an implementation plan
- Available for moderate overnight travel (25%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Five (5) years of media, technology, and/or project management experience
- Previous airline experience in a Commercial, IT or Operational role
- UX/UI experience
- Experience with product development for a major consumer brand
- Experience with UI wire-framing in Visio, Illustrator or other applications

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
