Position Summary
The Data Science & Analytics team at JetBlue is an integral part of the IT Data organization which reports directly to the Chief Digital & Technology Officer due to the strategic importance of Data at JetBlue. The Data Science & Analytics team consists of Operations Data Science (ODS), Commercial Data Science (CDS), Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) engineering, and Business Intelligence teams operating in a center-of-excellence model reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics. The teams develop advanced Data products and insights for all cross-functional teams at JetBlue including up/cross-skilling the internal analyst community.
The Enablement Business Intelligence Developer will utilize their technical expertise of driving data-driven change within the analytics space to push organization-wide adoption of Tableau. This role will partner with business leaders to support existing projects and inspire future analytics opportunities. This support involves advising on ongoing projects, driving enthusiasm and adoption around data, outlining upskilling paths at scale and creating compelling and action-oriented data visualizations and dashboards to promote data-driven decision making at JetBlue on the IT Business Intelligence Team. The role will focus on analysis, design, and development of enterprise dashboards and reports. Key requirements for this position include an understanding of business objectives and processes, and technical expertise enterprise business intelligence technologies including Tableau and data warehouses.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and design high-quality accurate dashboards and reports based on JetBlue standards
- Translate business requirements into thoughtful data visualizations, designs and analytical queries
- Working with an analytics center of practice to foster a strong user community
- Manage activities such as user group meetings, webinars and internal competitions to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams
- Evaluate new technologies in the Business Intelligence stack and make recommendations on enterprise adoption/scalability
- Recommend changes to enterprise data models to better serve Business Intelligence needs
- Define, design, document and socialize Business Intelligence best practices across the organization including upskilling analysts
- Provide Data visualization support to business units across JetBlue
- Understand the business value that analytics tools provide by documenting benefits of use cases
- Support a structured training program for role-based analytics learning paths
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Three (3) years of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau
- Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to translate business requirements into visualization concepts
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in computer science or a quantitative discipline
- Four (4) years of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau
- One (1) year of experience developing analytics using Python
- Experience using Data Warehouses; Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)/ELT data pipelines; running efficient SQL queries; and developing compelling dashboards/data stories

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
