Title:  Analyst FP&A

Position Summary:

The Analyst assists Crewleader in understanding cost components and developing presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.  Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual variance reviews and in long term financial management, strategic initiatives and competitive analysis.  The Analyst also assists with various ad hoc analyses as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assists with tracking and project management of companywide cost saving programs and initiatives
  • Recognizes, analyzes and models various trends within the business and airline industry
  • Assists Crewleader in proper financial analysis, collaboration and good thinking to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to leaders
  • Assists in creating and maintaining rolling 36 month and 5 year forecasts as needed
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual presentations for Senior Departmental leaders
  • Assists Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis with executive and Board level presentations and communications
  • Identifies and recommends cost savings initiatives
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting and analyses as assigned
  • Builds and fosters relationships among other departments including operations and commercial teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • One (1) years finance and/or analytical experience
  • Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient with Word and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)

     Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
